Afropunk presents the first Planet Afropunk Live Experience in Miami, Florida, May 20th-22nd taking place at THE URBAN. Tickets are on sale now!
Dedicated to connecting us through music, art, and tech, Afropunk will be kicking off with discussion panels, an art exhibit, a plethora of activities, food trucks, and live music from some of the dopest alternative artists you may or may now know.
Just announced to the lineup is South Florida’s favorite DJ and producer Silent Addy spinning some of the hottest dancehall music in the region.
Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Silent Addy lets his work speak for itself.
Also announced to perform is Nigerian-born singer and rapper Rema. His self-acclaimed “Afrorave” sound is influenced by afrobeats, with a mix of Indian/Arabian music and a fan favorite. Rema’s been nominated for the Viewer’s Choice award, BET Award, and won the Headies “Next Rated” award in 2019.
Afropunk has partnered with Shopify to premiere a screening celebrating Black entrepreneurship from AFROPUNK and Shopify’s Black Fashion Accelerator program.
The Black Fashion Accelerator program will help prepare nine entrepreneurs for a career in the fashion industry and develop an upcoming fashion show this summer. Meet the 2022 class of the Black Fashion Accelerator program or register for the 1 Million Black Business Initiative HERE.
