Bryant Terry is an NAACP Image Award Winner, James Beard Award-winning chef, educator, editor-in-chief, publisher, and author of 4c (4 Color Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House and Ten Speed Press). Terry’s most recent book Black Food: Stories, Art, and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora [A Cookbook] dabbles into the world of food activism, celebrating black culture through creative African American cuisine. With 100 Black cultural visionaries sharing their experiences in poetry, essays, vibrant artwork, and recipes in this masterpiece.
Being a vegan chef, Terry delivers healthy yet delicious alternatives to soul food in his other books like Vegan Soul Kitchen, The Inspired Vegan, Afro-Vegan, and the Vegetable Kingdom with dishes like Blackeyes Peas with Corn Bread Croutons, Creole-Spiced Plantain Chips, Sweet Potato Grits, and more.
