Deeper Than Hair

Her best friend’s earliest memory is of her as a child saying, “Your hair is your crown and glory.” Although she doesn’t quite remember that, we can tell that phrase has stayed deeply rooted within.

Annagjid (Onn-ah-key) Taylor, also known as “Kee” who got her start in her Mom and Dads basement is now a CEO, brand ambassador, inventor, salon owner and hairstylist, not only in her own salon but in the entertainment industry as well. She often travels to cities like New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles to style clients such as Angela Simmons, Erica Campbell and Tika Sumpter just to name a few. Her work has also been published in magazines such as Sheen, Essence, InStyle Romania and has been spotted on numerous TV shows, press junkets and red carpets. Most recently she was key hair stylist for the film “Brotherly Love” where she styled hair for lead actress KeKe Palmer.

Even though Kee works with celebrities, all of her clients are equally as important to her. When she’s not on the road she is in her salon, ‘Deeper Than Hair’ based in West Philadelphia. She is most known for her attention to the health of her client’s hair and getting damaged hair to its strongest state. She specializes in being able to get kinky, natural hair straight without compromising its health and also without chemical aide. Majority of her clients have been with her for over 14 years. “It makes me feel good when I make others feel amazing. I literally treat each and every strand of everyone’s hair like it my very own.” And that she does!

Kee’s newest adventure has been the release of her very own advanced hair care products, ‘Shear Genius Collection’ and it has been very successful thus far. She also does hair tours in other cities, “Kee To The City’, teaches classes in different cities on how to use her products, and various signature hair care techniques, ‘Deeper Than Hair University’, and also has many tutorials on her YouTube channel, ‘Deeper Than Hair TV’

 Kee is very proud of her accomplishments so far and says she has so much more to do. “As long as I have GOD, my two guardian angles, and my unshakeable faith, I will get there. I am so grateful for how far I’ve come and super excited from where I’m going.” When asked what is her secret to success, she simply said, “My MANE ingredient is LOVE.”
