About the Author
Danielle Pitts’ interest in hair began at the tender age of nine when she found herself braiding and hair styling for her sisters, cousins, and all her aunts. After graduating from Dutchess Community College, she switched gears to pursue her heart’s desire and become a New York State Licensed Cosmetologist in 20006. She is the owner of Salon Dae in Poughkeepsie, New York, and is the proud mother of twin boys. Passionate about everything involving hair, health, and well-being, Danielle has carved out her own niche and gained an impressive reputation by specializing in everything curls, cuts, and color! The Poughkeepsie Neighborhood Club honored Danielle for her dedication to community work throughout her career and for being a positive role model to young women and girls.
