Black Restaurant Week gives people a chance to experience new culinary cuisine with an ethnic flare. Not only would you be supporting small black businesses, but also the community with the cultivation of food for those in need. 

A month ago I was looking for a black-owned restaurant to hold an interview. Being a creature of habit, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Lord and behold there was a restaurant just a few blocks away from me.

Booker’s located at 5021 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143 did not disappoint.

The atmosphere is intimate, food delicious, and service impeccable.
