The Black Excellence (BE) Festival returns to the Showboat Hotel Father’s Day and Juneteenth Weekend Friday, June 16 – Sunday, June 18 2023, in Atlantic City, NJ for the 3rd consecutive year.
Enjoy a gamut of events and entertainment from the BE Film Festival, the first Black Film Festival in Atlantic City.
Filmmakers have the opportunity to showcase their talent in over ten different categories for a chance to win prizes and experience live screenings with over 1k attendees watching. Submissions are open until May 8 (applicable fees per category apply).
The BE Hair Battle is a cut above the rest with the battle of the best stylist, barber, hair show, and more.
Celebrate Men of Color Father’s Day weekend with speakers Steven Anthony King, Douglas M. Reed, and Jumaine Jones. Get in the spirit with the BE Comedy Jam, a host of parties, BE Praise Fest, a Fashion Show, and an extravaganza of Black Excellence for the culture, by the culture.
