ENJOY LATIN CUISINE

Here are just a few films that you will view either in person or streaming.

8 CUENTOS SOBRE MI HIPOACUSIA

I grew up listening very little, reading lips. At 23 years old, as a result of hereditary and progressive hearing loss, I went deaf. Even though my parents disagreed, I decided to have a cochlear implant surgery.

Soon after, my mom suddenly dies, and listening to her last WhatsApp voice notes brought back the memory of her voice and the sounds of my childhood. That’s when I became aware of all I had lost along with the sound, and I started to ask myself: How does a hearing-impaired hear?

BANTÚ MAMA

A French woman of African descent manages to escape after being arrested in the Dominican Republic. She finds shelter in the most dangerous district of Santo Domingo, where she is taken in by a group of children. By becoming their protégée and maternal figure, she will see her destiny change inexorably.
