Education and golf opportunities to be provided at the new Cobbs Creek campus in Philadelphia through the TGR Learning Lab and a new short course by TGR Design

Philadelphia’s Cobb Creek area is going through a significant revitalization. In December 2022, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation announced the makeover of Cobbs Creek Environmental Center and Playground in West Philadelphia, with a budget totaling $3 million.

On March 13th, the announcement of TGR Design, a full-service golf course design firm led by Tiger Woods, and their partnership with the Cobbs Creek Foundation to create and develop a new and beautiful short golf course in Cobbs Creek.

I’m excited to work with the Cobbs Creek Foundation and the Philadelphia community on this special project that combines my passions, golf and supporting youth through education,” said Tiger Woods, Founder, TGR Foundation and TGR Design. “Through the campus, we will provide meaningful education opportunities for local youth while expanding access to the game I love.”

With the inclusion of a fresh new urban oasis golf course, the TGR Foundation will support the community through an education campus for the advancement of local youth. The TGR Learning Lab will span over 300 thousand square feet and offer STEM (Science. Technology. Education. Mathematics) programs, state-of-the-art technology, college prep, and classes on robotics, AI, multimedia design, cyber security, professional development, and more.
