So reports have come out about a young lady named Charrise Lane voicing her opinion on Twitter Wednesday, April 20th, in a post comparing the representation of women. She said, “Your size isn’t why men won’t date you. It’s the level of class you have. For instance, let’s compare Jill Scott to Lizzo. Men, which one would you date?”
In our opinion, the statement is understandable, and the question she asked wasn’t the problem. It was the comparison. Jill Scott and Lizzo were minding their business and, although merely an example, came across as being unintentionally malicious.
Whether a celebrity or not, one person is looked at negatively while the other is favored. So Jill Scott clapped back in her post with an emoji of Kevin Hart simply saying “Stop That” to defuse the situation. But instead, people jumped on board to roast Charrise Lane.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but at whose expense? Charrise Lane later posted a video clarifying what she meant. But the reality is, she meant what she said, and she said what she meant. We get it!
One thing to remember is how we see ourselves; others may not! Some men like women with a more conservative lifestyle and appearance, while others may like someone who excites them and embraces a more provocative way of dress. Human nature causes us to judge, you have to be prepared for the backlash.
