Welcome to URBN SOCIAL, a new media platform providing people of color in need of online marketing, advertising, promotional services, news, and a global business directory specifically for black, brown, and indigenous businesses.

Woooo! After a long string of technical difficulties, we are back up! This year started with a bang, literally! We woke up to notifications that someone was trying to hack us. Well, baby, let me tell you, you can try to take us down, but you can’t keep us down! So, a big thank you for your patience during the long hiatus!

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, “Who TF did I Marry?” We had to get our two cents in on the viral post that made its way through social media. Honey, that was hell in a handbasket! A big shout out to TheJessCasonBrand for seamlessly putting together all 1-52 TikTok videos so we didn’t miss anything.

If you made it through the lengthy posts, “bless your heart”!

We give kudos to ReesaTeesa for telling her story. It was brave and vulnerable, but sadly, her story isn’t new and not all that shocking in some respects. What is shocking is that she took the time to tell her story in such detail for the world to put under a microscope. Some think it’s a cautionary tale of lies and deceit, while others feel that her “exposing” her ex-husband is problematic. We’re glad she acknowledged some of the mistakes many women often make when dating; moving someone into their home only weeks after meeting them can be problematic. Some people live together for years and don’t quite truly know the person. So why the rush?

Just because someone makes you feel good doesn’t mean they are good for you!

But in our opinion, the signs were there from the beginning that something wasn’t right! Many women would have walked away after getting that nagging feeling that something just isn’t adding up. But some want to see it through and give their partner the benefit of the doubt. Her wanting to make it work, only made things worst! Not only for herself, but it made his lies even more calculating.

What do you think? Do you agree with her sharing her story, which has become a declaration for other women to tell theirs? Or should she have let sleeping dogs lie?
