Afrisocks

Location

Afrisocks is inspired by traditional Ghanaian Kente patterns.

Traditionally Kente cloth was made of very colorful silk and cotton. Different ethnic groups in have different types of kente fabric using different cloth strips and colours. The word kente is pronounced as ken-ten, meaning woven basket in Ghanaian Akan dialect.

Originally, Kente was woven cloth worn by chiefs and royal families. Nowadays Kente became popular, and is used by many West Africans in Ghana and beyond.

Bringing West Africa’s vibrant colours to your sock drawer. Designed in Ghana. Made with Love.
