Memphis Tennessee has been in the spotlight with the recent abduction and murder of Eliza Fletcher leaving everyone to speculate why it happened? Such a senseless murder with her leaving behind two children, a husband, family, friends, and students who adored her. To make matters worst on Wednesday, September 7 at approximately 8:00 pm est, Memphis Police Department reported multiple shootings and for people to remain indoors.
Multiple calls revealed that 19-year-old Ezekiel D. Kelly was responsible for the city’s random shootings as he actively boasted about the incidents while on Facebook live. Kelly was later apprehended and arrested around 9:00 pm, while the injuries of anyone shot at are currently unknown.
USA Today reported the following “Memphis Police Department Sgt. Louis Brownlee said Kelly has prior arrests for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment in 2020. He was sentenced to three years but was released on March 16, this year.”
