Hey URBN SOCIAL Friends and family! Can you believe it’s New Year’s Eve already? This holiday season has felt like an episode from “Stanger Things” as I write this to you from the comfort of my bed with Covid. Although feeling a bit better, I’m still out for the game for a few more days, which makes this post so much harder to write without feeling a little anxious.
What better way to celebrate the New Year than by enjoying live music with friends, family, or a significant other? Adult music that soothes the soul. One of our favorite artists who I’ve yet to see perform live. Grammy Nominated R&B Singer Emily King.
King, from New York City, came on the scene in 2007 with her debut album “East Side Story” with her hit single “Walk In My Shoes”. This song will forever be in our rotation!
After that, she hit the ground running with several albums and hits later, like “Distance”, from her 2015 album The Switch, and “Look At Me Now” from her 2019 album “Scenery,” which shows her evolution as an artist and we are growing with her.
If you are able to attend, this is a concert you surely don’t want to miss. Enjoy it for me, be safe and if you drink, do it responsibly!
