“GUILTY”
We’ve followed the case of missing adopted brothers Orrin and Orsen West, reported missing Monday, December 21, 2020 in California City, Kern County, California, by adoptive parents Trezell and Jaqueline West. To date, the boys have not been found!
To our dismay, the trial was not live-streamed, and a gag order remains in place. So we want to thank Down The Rabbit Hole News for sharing the verdict.
Friday, May 19th, it was reported that Trezell and Jaqueline West were found guilty of the following charges for 4-year-old Orrin West:
- Second-degree Murder
- Involuntary Manslaughter
- Child Cruelty
The jury failed to reach verdicts on second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Orson West.
KGET.com reported that during the trial, an interview recorded on December 28, 2020, with the oldest biological child (one of two biological and four adopted children) of Trezell and Jaqueline, now 12 years old accounted that he knew his brother Orrin (age 4) was dead.
Overwhelming evidence and witness statements in the case revealed the boys were murdered one week before the family moved to California City.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 13, 2023, when the district attorney will determine if they can retry the charges for Orson West.
This sad story continues, and we will see how it ends.
