West Park Arts Fest
The West Park Cultural Center held its first Philadelphia “Funkfest” featuring Philadelphia’s very own Breakwater at West Fairmount Park on South Concourse Drive (near 42nd and Parkside Avenue) on Saturday, June 8th, 2019.
Funkfest was filled with activities, food trucks, horseback riding, local vendors, and showcased some of Philadelphia’s greatest musicians like the Original Groove Circus, Badd Kitti, Expansion Project.
We also had performances by some new up and coming artists like Big Little Sister and the sassy and smart female dance group Dancelogic, mixing dance while also learning code.
There was enough fun for everyone!
“Funk is an important part of the sound of Philadelphia that deserves to be celebrated”. – Steve Green, Breakwater Bank Member
