Six hours ago the BBC reported that peaceful protest in Lagos Nigeria ended after a major shooting.

SARS (Special Anti Robbery Squad). A group founded by former police commissioner Simeon Danladi Midenda in the 1990’s to fights against police brutality. But that didnt last long. Members of SARS have allegedly been engaging in kidnapping, rape, theft, tourture and other crimes and injustices.

President Muhammadu Buhari announced disbanding SARS on October 11th although it was reporterd that at least 2 people were shot yesterday while holding a peaceful protest. Nearly 20 solders arrived at the gates of Lekki and just started to open fire.

It was also reported by the rights group Amnesty International that at least 12 people were killed by soldiers and police on Tuesday in Lagos.” The citizens continue to hold protect. This is an injustice and we will continue to hold Nigeria in our hearts and our prayers!
