Dr. Kristian Henderson, A Yale graduate, majoring in the history of medicine and founder of BLK + GRN is the brainchild of this amazing apothecary of beauty and professor of public health. A small-time country girl from Little Rock, Arkansas has given women of color a seat at the table often too far to reach.
I wanted to find brands that were black-owned and organic. And that didn’t have toxins or chemicals. I wanted all these things I was looking for [from a wellness perspective] and also black-owned.

Before we dig in any further be sure to vote BLK + GRN for the FEDEX Small Business Grant totaling $50K, which would go towards their initiative to expand and further the ‘Buy Black, Live Green’ movement. “This funding will allow us to keep up with growth, product demand, onboarding of new artisans, and expanding our team!”
Dr. Henderson is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and most of all a survivor.
Kristian along with her husband Jason, and son August, were in a severe car accident last July. Kristian and August both sustained injuries, but Kristian’s injuries were more severe. We are happy to announce that she is doing better, taking it one day at a time. Now she is ready to get back to her grind.
As we know by the death of Kobe Bryant that life it short and timing is everything. The creator said this young lady’s job isn’t done yet!
