Rodney Reed was charged with sexual assault and capital murder for the 1996 strangulation death of Stacey Stites. He maintains his innocence and claims that they both were having a secret sexual relationship, but didn’t kill Stacey.

In a strange turn of events 6 months after Stacy’s murder two officers working the case died mysteriously and the only other person Jimmy Fennell, Stacey’s finance, and a police officer was a prime suspect but cleared because he “supposedly couldn’t have killed her because he was at home asleep and didn’t have a vehicle? Now that is crazy!

Our hearts go out to the victim’s family for their loss, but the new evidence puts doubt in the minds and hearts of many. The fiance selling the vehicle right after the murder; the couples home never being searched; the weapon never checked for DNA; or how about the fact that Jimmy Fennell was convicted of kidnapping and sexual misconduct and sentenced to 10 years in prison (may I add the same as Amber Guyger).

With this all being said. Rodney Reed has been on death row for over 20 years and is scheduled for execution on November 20th.

Question is, why is it so impossible to think that a white woman and a black man sleeping together would be a secret? How about her fiance finding out would put him in a rage to kill her?

Lots have come out about this case. We hope that if nothing else, Rodney Reed’s execution is put off and he is granted a new fair trial.

    • Yes, the entire thing just makes my head and heart hurt. I’m not an advocate for the death penalty. I think isolation and confinement from the outside for life is worse than death. It’s really upsetting that recently with evolving technology that we have found out that many men whom have already been put to death, have then been presumes innocent. How do you make up for taking a life?
