Wednesday, January 6th started out great for Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff winning the Georgia senate race giving the democratic party control over the house and senate. A black and Jewish man which is to be celebrated in itself. But high spirits were short-lived.

Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock

Donald Trump delivered a speech in front of the White House continuing to give his supporters false hope and information saying it was rigged and stolen without a shred of evidence. Encouraging supporters to walk down to Capitol Hill, to let their voice be heard, which they did!

“And after this, we’re going to walk down there, and I’ll be there with you, we’re going to walk down … to the Capitol and we are going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women,” Trump told the crowd. “And we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them. Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong.”

– Donald Trump

The rioters turned into a mass insurrection as some Capitol Hill police are actually seen removing barriers while leading rioters to the building. As they broke windows, scaled walls, brandishing firearms. All while Congress was in session and counting the electoral votes.

During the chaos, one woman by the name of Ashli Babbitt, 35, of San Diego was shot dead while trying to get into the building. Three others died due to medical emergencies, and two pipe bombs were recovered. Offices were ransacked, all while the national guard was nowhere in sight, depending soling on the Capitol Hill and Washington DC police to keep the innocent safe. Let’s not forget that while the Black Lives Matter movement was protesting they were shot with rubber bullets, tear-gassed, etc. We saw no one being taken out in handcuffs and rioters merely being ushered out and from around the building! The majority of the rioters were white, yet being treated as if they were not what primarily black protestors are called “thugs”, let’s not be fooled! Yes, this is the ultimate definition of WHITE PRIVILEGE.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser enforced a 6pm curfew, extending a public emergency for 15 days. By then Biden will be sworn in as our new President of the United States of America.

Biden, urged trump to come behind his desk at the White House while mayhem was happening to tell his supporters to keep the peace. Yet Trump then again, ineloquently said:

“I know your pain. I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election, and everyone knows it, especially the other side, but you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don’t want anybody hurt. It’s a very tough period of time. There’s never been a time like this where such a thing happened, where they could take it away from all of us, from me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election, but we can’t play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You’re very special. You’ve seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel. But go home and go home at peace.”

– Donald Trump

Give us a break! Really!!! “You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil.” So what these Trump supporters did is not evil?

Trump needs to be impeached and thrown in jail for inciting violence. Lives were lost, people were put in harm’s way, our national security has been compromised.

How can anyone feel safe with what was seen all around the world as a result of a disgruntled and bitter man?
