If you’re a fan of Alice Walker’s novel The Color Purple, which was transformed into an award-winning film back in 1985 starring Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, and Oprah Winfrey, we know that you are excited about the new adaptation set to be released in theaters nationwide on December 25th.

We’re excited to see the fresh take on the classic film with a colorful cast and some of the most talented African-American actors and artists in the industry today, like Danielle Brooks, Fantasia Barrino, H.E.R, Hallie Bailey, Taraji P. Henson, and more. Well, the founder of Carol’s Daughter, Lisa Price, is just as excited and decided to team up with Dana Nussbaum of Warner Bros. Pictures to celebrate the unbreakable bond between women with the launch of the “Sister to Sister” campaign.

Starting December 13th in Brooklyn, NY, Carol’s Daughter will host the first of many community screenings in select cities, with participants entering into a sweepstake for an all-expense paid trip for two to the 2024 Essense Festival and giveaways.
