REVELATION
Hello friends and family. Where do I start? Working nine to five and drafting a book has been kicking my a**!
Yes, your girl has decided to take the big plunge and write a book. What’s the book about? No, it’s not a “self-help” or a “motivational book”. Let’s just say it’s a dark, eye-opening, thrilling novel. I know that doesn’t help, you just have to wait.
I’ve been wanting to write a book for years. For months I kept thinking about it…. dreaming about it. That is when I said to myself, ” just do it”.
My hat goes off to all authors out there. I see how easy it is for a book to take up to a year to write.
Enough of me venting. Let’s get into my trip to Cuba this past October!
CUBA
After President Obama lifted the embargo on travel to Cuba in 2016 I’ve wanted to visit.
Asked, “why do you want to go to Cuba”, my response “why not”?
The culture, food, and great music have always been intriguing, not to say it’s been 50 years.
Recently under the Trump administration, Cuba has been under fire and fear is the embargo will be put back in place. All I can say is, why? Who does it benefit? Reason One trillion of why I hate politics. I had such a wonderful time and was welcomed with open arms. I didn’t have any illness and felt very safe.
Never let fear keep you from experiencing new places and people.
The “blend in” was real too. Outside of me opening up my mouth to speak, I fit right in. For those not familiar with Afro Cubans.. some Cubans are of West African descent, some Haitian, and those who are mixed.
Cuba was fabulous! Don’t take my word for it, just book your next trip!
Awesome shots. I’ve always wanted to visit Cuba and I hope to. My camera will be going non-stop when I do 🙂
You will have such a good time! Lots to see and do, people are so friendly. I wish I had time to go to the Che museum. Hopefully I can go bad and stay a little longer to see. Please be sure to share when you do go, I’d love your take on it.
Your pictures are great and I can see how fabulous Cuba is. I need to go visit seeing that it neighbours my homeland Jamaica.
Hopefully Jamaica in two years for my gf’s anniversary. Can’t wait to celebrate their love for each other.
Nice post!I have just posted about Cuba as well, have a look if you fancy ?

Thanks!
You’re Welcome! ?
Great post – I recently returned and can’t let go! Cuba has really intrigued me, drawn me in to the point where I want to keep hearing and learning more about it ?
Yes!!! Isn’t great. I do plan on going back in the future. I pray that we can work out the politics. They are rich in culture and it felt so comfortable being there.
I agree completely – I really felt a connection there.
