Hudson’s Bay, a Canadian marketplace and digital platform providing an array of products from beauty, home, fashion, and food products, is launching Shop_Black on their TheBay.com digital marketplace. Black-owned and led businesses will have the opportunity to broaden their landscape by offering customers the convenience of shopping from Black-owned brands year-round.

  • Tyler Ferguson: Owner & Lead Designer at Monoxide – Born in Toronto and raised in Canada and The Bahamas Tyler Ferguson founded Monozide in 2012, beautiful handcrafted jewelry remixed and remastered from her love of vintage pieces seen in Londons Fashion Week, Elle Canada, and Forbes.
  • George Sully: Designer, Founder of Black Designers of Canada – Designer, Entrepreneur, and Creator of the Black Designers of Canada (BDC). He is also a Bata Shoe museum inductee, co-founder of House of Hayla, and creator of the break-out brand Sully & Son Company.
  • Emefa Kuadey: Civil Engineer turned Fashion Engineer, Founder of ISRAELLA KOBLA – A women’s clothing and accessories brand. In 2022, Emefa was the recipient of the first-ever “The Bay Fashion Fund.”
