The Partnership Celebrates Diversity in the Home Goods Industry and Encourages Consumers to “Celebrate Black Makers”

Wayfair, one of the world’s largest destinations for the home, and visionary entrepreneur and mom of two Jasmine Williams, have teamed up to encourage diversification in the home goods industry.

Jasmine Williams, the founder of SUNNY&TED, a homeware line and gift shop, took the world by storm after launching her now-cult classic Black and Brown Santa Claus mugs and accompanying home goods. With a growing product line and national features in Better Homes and Garden, Essence, and Martha Stewart, SUNNY&TED is the authority in holiday home goods for everyone—especially diverse audiences.

In this special partnership, Wayfair will showcase 40 Black-owned businesses, including SUNNY&TED’s wide range of holiday home goods featuring Santa, Mrs. Claus, and The Nutcracker Crew in beautiful shades of brown.

“I wanted a Black Santa mug that I could use with my growing family year after year,” Williams said. “When I couldn’t find one, I decided to take matters into my own hands. SUNNY&TED officially launched in November of 2020 with our bestselling Cocoa Santa Mug in three shades of brown — honey, caramel, and chocolate.”

Continuing to disrupt the home goods space is a mission both Wayfair and Jasmine share.

“I really want people of color to see themselves and their loved ones represented in SUNNY&TED products. “It is also important that Black business owners are given the opportunity to take up shelf space,” Williams said. “I hope Black business owners are given the opportunity to create exclusive products for big box retailers so that more people have access to home goods they can see themselves in.
